I am looking for information re this family and the Burton's of Saltburn/Staithes.
Robert Lincoln, d 1872, wife Jane d 1897 both in Middlesbrough.
William H Burton d 1954, Mark Burton d 1929 both Saltburn.
My Lincoln's go back to George and Elisabeth m 1765 in Kildale and the Burton's to Richard m 1668 in Staithes.
Any assistance appreciated.

Boltburn, I, too am a BURTON from the Staithes line.
Mark BURTON (my great grandfather) marry Jane Ann Mary Maria LINCOLN, age 22 at the Parish Church, Marske on 4 Nov 1865
I asked about this lot when I started, see this thread:

Some of the information in that thread is wrong, as you can see, especially with confusion over the bride's father's first name.

Good morning. Father is definitely Robert on the marr cert. Think I have all the relevant certs, census etc but am curious as to why the Lincoln's travelled the country so much. Jane is my gg grand mother via her Mark and his William. The Guisborough ropeworks is visable on maps. Can show you if you want to see.
