Title: Anderson Family - Berwickshire
Post by: Nuspy on Friday 14 September 12 08:54 BST (UK)
Ths week I provided a tour of the Scottish Borders for Jackie & Frank Cochin. Jackie’s Anderson ancestors had been Blacksmith’s in Cockburnpath, Edington and Crossgatehall before emigrating to America in the 19th century. If anyone is researching the following families, please contact me at (*):

Thomas Fair & Mary Davidson
John Anderson & Helen Sutherland
John Anderson & Elizabeth Hardie

It was a pleasure to organise Jackie’s ancestral tour and to share her delight in finding her ancestral roots in the Scottish Borders. Meanwhile here is report of Jackie & Frank's visit to the Scottish Borders:

Many thanks

Ian

I've researched that Fair family a bit. A number of cousins and I have a working theory that Thomas Fair was possibly a younger sibling of my distant ancestor William. Thomas's family and my lot appeared frequently as witnesses/cautioners at baptisms/marriages of each other.

I actually blogged about these early Fairs the other night. See here (http://vivsancestry.wordpress.com/2012/10/11/early-fair-ancestors-in-coldingham-parish-berwickshire/).

Hi Viv,

Thank you for your reply; it's very much appreciated. I'll pass your details onto Jackie and her cousin Doreen - I'm sure that you will be hearing from them  ;)

Best regards

Ian
