Can any one help with finding a marriage between Joseph Busby and Fanny early 1800s.
My ggggrandfather John Matthew Busby was baptised in St. Martins Church, Birmingham
6.11.1804. Parents named as Joseph and Fanny Busby. I cannot find a marriage for them.
I have located a marriage 12th. Feb. 1804 in Edgbaston between a JOHN Busby and a
Fanny Newey. I found this on Bishops transcription for Edgbaston and wonder if
possibly Jon could be Jos????? Please, does anybody have access to the written records
or possibly find Joseph and Fanny marrying somewhere else. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks

Familysearch indexes numerous baptisms in Birmingham 1804-1823 to Joseph and Fanny Busby, and none to John and Fanny. Certainly it is possible that the BT contains an error as to the bridegroom's name. It would be worth checking the Edgbaston parish record if possible, in case an error crept in when the Bishop's Transcript was created or indexed.

Thanks for that. I do have a list of children but unfortunately no marriage.
Does anybody have access to the original Edgbaston records?
Once again thanks

I have found on the Family Search site, a marriage between Joseph Busbey and Hannah Willey, at Corley, Warwickshire, England, on 26th January 1791.
I wonder if Fanny could be a derivative of Hannah.
