Title: Emma Bignell and Joseph James
Post by: Kuri on Saturday 08 September 12 05:16 BST (UK)
Hi
Does anyone know of an Emma Bignell born in Northfleet Kent in 1878 her parents were Edward Bignell and Phillis Eastwood. Emma married a Joseph James in 1896 at Strood Kent. Joseph was born in Southwark London.
Joseph parents were John James and Elizabeth Freestone. They were both born in Cambridgeshire.

I have not been able to find Emma and James in any census after 1896. I do believe that Joseph died in 1910 at Brentfield Middlesex.
I have found an Emma James dying in 1899 aged 21, does anyone know if this is "my" Emma.
Carol  ;)

 ;)Hi
Thank you for that information about Emma. Do you know anything more about her and Joseph James? For example did they have any children? I do know that Joseph died in 1910.
Joseph is the brother of my Gt Grandfather James James. His wife was Alvinea Eastwood (well Eastwood Breeds actually) So thank you Carol.
