Using a search engine I found a (possible) relative in the Dewsbury workhouse in 1911 and the results showed his place of birth circa 1844 as Mayo Basher. I've looked at the records and it looks more like Barhre or Bashre. Any thoughts on where this might actually be please?
Later amendment - I may have just also found a brother and in 1911 he shows his birth place as Clonemore. Looking at a modern map there is a Cloonmoor with a road called Ballagh Street but I can't see an actual place. Could Barhre and Ballagh be the same?
Even later amendment - there's also a place called Cloonaghmore as well.
Any thoughts anyone please?

Looking at your other posts, you have Lavin (variations) - is this the name you are looking at in Cloonmore?
There is a Thomas Lavan in Cloonmore Lower.
Looking at a modern map Cloonmore Lower is close to Balla.
There is something here (http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/k/e/l/Mary-Margaret-Kelly/PDFFGS2.pdf)about that Thomas though.

It is indeed the Lavins I'm looking for at the moment. Catherine Lavin my g g grandmother was from Mayo and she had at least one brother James that I know of and possibly two more John and Thomas. They all migrated to England and I assume never returned to Ireland. A John Hannan was godfather to one of John's children and Catherine's husband had an uncle called John Hannan. The Hannans were from "Tomina" in Mayo possibly now in Roscommon and not too far from Cloonmore. Perhaps they're related?
I'll keep searching.
