Title: UK Divorce records
Post by: bertles86 on Wednesday 05 September 12 12:00 BST (UK)
Hi all,

I've done a fair bit of research on divorce, and it appears if the records do not show up in the J77 collection at Kew, then you have to apply to the Courts to do a search @ £60!

Can anyone help me find details the end of this marriage?

Noel Ripley Reynolds m. Dorothy Florence Charman
12-Aug-1939, Marylebone

Both were remarried by 1947/1948 and living separately by 1946.

Thanks!

Hi,

As the records at Kew go up to 1937 I think the only way to find the Decree Absolute is to apply for a search.   :-\

Hi Bertles

Yes that is correct, all though I found my Dads Divorce Papers 1920( very interesting reading and a couple of shocks,) there was no Decree Absolute with them, so I paid £60, they rang me a few weeks later to tell me that my Dad was a Bigamist
