Hi Alan,
Looking at the rank of your father he was in the RAF so his trades would be -
F Mech E - Flight Mechanic Engines
U/T F.2.E - under training for F.2.E
F.2.E was the advance level of an F Mech E
The first line of special qualifications looks to be an exam for possibly his AC1 (Aircraftman 1st Class) ?

As the entry above 48 MU has the same date as the entry for 48MU perhaps it was an error.
The initials N E over what looks like 48/5 M V? are similar to those in the checked column of the 48 MU (or at least the N is) - does that make sense :)

hi Alan nice to see you have your dads records, as I'm still awaiting my dads service records ,could you tell me do service records reveal any personal information like next of kin or pay details thanks Andy.

they indeed do give next of kin,pay is more tricky,it gives entitlement to war service increments but not actual wage figures

hi thanks for the reply, i have a painful wait for his records just hope the info i want is on them as i have tried every other avenue i can think of thanks again.
