Hello
Does anyone have access to the registers for Saltash?
William Thomas married Mary Lobb on the 11th November 1815 in Saltash.
I would like to know who the witnesses were and Mary's home parish.
Thank you
Bethan

Hi
Unable to see anything close to the marriage, however, there are a couple of baptisms on FreeReg that may give pointers to Mary's home parish.
13 Oct 1782 Mary d. of Richard Lobb & Mary Jane, Maker, St Macra, bap.
14 Dec 1783 Mary d. of Joseph Lobb & Elizabeth, St Germans, bap.
This site may be of use to you, a Michael Norbury is currently transcribing St Stephen by Saltash registers, he hasn't done all the marriages yet, but he is covering them from 1813-1831. There is a contact email on the home page, he may be able to help.

Both are noted as of this parish, but that doesn't mean they were born there. Witnesses were Matthew Clatworthy who may have been a parish witness as he witnessed another marriage on the same page. The other witness was hard to make out but it could be Phillipey Lobb who could be a sister?

probably a bit late (4years) but almost certain that Phillipey is actually Phillipa Lobb (in my tree) who would most likely be the Mother of one or both of the couples below
