I am new to this forum and wondered if anyone can provide any information about my great great grandmothers parents. Their names were Michael Sullivan (b.1810) and Mary Sullivan (b.1814) and they were both from Bearhaven, Castletown, Cork.
At some point, (around 1830s) they migrated to England, living in Bristol, Bath and Marden before settling in Margate in Kent with their family.
I cannot trace any information about the Irish connection. All I know is that Michael was a rope mat maker. Any information aboout Bearhaven in the 1800s, or any further relatives would be so gratefully received!

Castletownbere RC parish records are available at www.irishgenealogy.ie. Was Sullivan Mary's maiden name? Sullivan is a very common surname in this area.
