I have an ancestry.co.uk account and although it says Marriages and divorce in the search feature I cannot find any divorces even though I know they have divorced. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think that Ancestry has any Divorce records?
Best place to look is National Archives, but after 1937 only 0.2% of records survive!

Depends what period you need. I have never managed to find anything useful on their divorce records either. findmypast have 1858 to 1903.

It also depends what country :) I have found some USA divorce records for people in my tree but nothing in the UK (although my UK ones are probably too recent to show).

Thanks for that I will try Find my past and the archives. I am pleased to know that I am not missing something on Ancestry though why it says marriages and divorce when it only has marriages is a mystery.

The reason it says Marriages and Divorces is that it is a heading that covers hundreds of databases from all over the world, if you select the actual database then that title would show what that particular database has ie Liverpool, Lancashire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1921 or Florida Divorce Index 1927-2001
