Title: William & Eleanor HIGGINS - Comley, Shropshire
Post by: stevielad on Thursday 26 May 05 16:08 BST (UK)
Anyone have any information on my (potentially!) GGGGGrandparents, William & Eleanore Higgins (b. c1790 & c. 1793 respectively), who appear on the 1861 census in Comley? Their daughter, Martha (my GGGGrandmother) was born c.1820, with possible brothers Edward and William.

Thanks,

Steve Bate

Hi Steve,
Whilst at Shropshire Archives today, I had a quick look at this.

I found this marriage on 4 Aug 1826 at Cardington.
William HIGGINS, Bachelor of Rushbury, to Eleanor EVASON? Spinster of Cardington.
Witnesses - John PEARKS? and Mary WHITEFOOT.
I could let you have a photograph of the entry if you contact me direct.

Hope it helps,
Gwynne.
