I am researching Sidney John Mellish b 1888 New Zealand, married Mary Dick 1922, d 1961 NZ. He was in the first world war and went over to England on the ship Tahiti in 1917. He came back as a casuality to Wellington, New Zealand. Would like help on where he went from England, where he went to fight and how he got back to New Zealand. Any help would be appreciated.

This is his Cenotaph entry:

Getting his Military Record digitised is the way to go to answer the questions you have (see link at bottom of entry above).
You will need to start a new thread with "Look Up Request: Wellington Archives" or similar in the subject line. See this thread for more details: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,508522.0.html

Hi Mellish, and welcome ;D
Don't bother to create a new topic, I'll request the Army personnel file for your man when I visit Archives next week. It takes about ten days for the link to the digitized file to appear.
I'll let you know once I've ordered it.
