Can anybody do me a search of the local records please?
I am looking for a record of the marriage of Louisa Tonks & Edward Vale who according to Family Search married on the 25th Aug 1828 at Aston Juxta , Birmingham.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation, Barbara.

Thanks a lot Ciderdrinker, it is more then I expected as 1828 was before records began as we now know them .They were my 3 x Grandparents.
I will see what I can find out from Genes Reunited on the witnesses ....you never know your luck !!
Thanks again. Barbara

Hi there!
I've been looking at this side of the family as well. I'm the great great...lost count grandson of Edward Vale, but of his second wife, Mary King, whom he married in 1841. I've got as far as the marriage certificate for Edward's father, also named Edward, from 1786, but then I'm entirely stuck.

Hi Mika,
It seems as though we are looking at the same family, my Grt Grt Grt Grandad Edward Vale born c1790 & married to Louisa Tonks 1796 - 1841 .
When my cousin Michael Vale found out I was looking into our grandads family he sent me a rough copy of a family tree sent to him by a midlands family who had traced him through their family tree , I think the family name was Coulson or something similer, my connection is through my mother Marjory Eva Ballard, formerly Ray , nee Vale who is now deceased. We will have to compare notes & hopefully find out more information between us.
Cheers, Barbara Moffatt nee Ray
