Hi, I was through Tarves today and stopped by Tarves Church of Scotland Parish Church. I'm afraid I'm no photographer but I hope the attached are some use to you.

Here's Stone 45, sorry I'm not very good at this.

Thank you so much. The pictures look good to me.
Thanks again

Hi, Just for interest, a couple more. The stone on the right of the old gravestone photograph is dated 1583 and the one next to it is dated 1617.

Hi,
I have been researching my Gibb Family...do you know if your Gibb family are descended from George Gibb and Barbara Forbes, c1800..
Many thanks,
Lynda

Hi
I am not sure if George and Barbara are included or not. I have traced my Gibbs back to Alexander Gibb 1827 Midmar Aberdeen June 18 1887 Tarves and Mary Skinner 1838 Tarves Feb 15 1907 Tarves. Alexander is listed on the 1841 Census as a Ag Labrourer living as a border with another family. So it is quite possible that George and Barbara may be his parents but I haven't found a connection. Alexander ended up being a master shoemaker in Tarves.
