However, there are plenty of suggestions and advice on this thread:

My appologies. Have appreciated all assistance to date. Thankyou

Hi again, you seem to have more info re Henry George Letchford, than I have been able to attain so far, and from your initial post possibly the marriage certificate for Richard and Mary Ann, would that be correct?
If so could you post any details that you believe could help us ie if you have the marriage cert the names and occupations of both father's. (Richard's parents are possibly William and Mahala)
I see a marriage in March 1903 Medway 2a 917 of a Henry George Letchford to a Charlotte Ann Robinson, is this your Henry?

Hi again, just tieing up a few things:-
On the 1891 with Thomas and Mary Ann Shersby were 2 children of the couple ie an Elizabeth Matilda Shersby b c 1883 and Albert Edward Shersby b c 1885 both Gravesend, in December qtr 1903 Medway 2a 1432 Elizabeth Matilda Shersby marries an Ernest Masters, also a William Rich_rd Letchford dies in December qtr 1892 Medway 2a 329 aged 26
I can locate both children in 1901 with Thomas and Mary Ann at the Brompton Barracks in Gillingham Census Ref RG13/738/90/8, but the whereabouts of Albert Edward Shersby from 1901 onwards is proving a puzzle?!

Hi again, this looks to be the parents of Mary Ann Cramp in 1851, only problem I am having is locating a likely birth for Mary Ann and locating her in 1851 and 1861?!
This is the 1841/51 for what I believe are her parents and siblings:-
1841 Census
Hannah Finch 30
William Cramp 30 occ Shoe Maker
Ruth 7
Rosana 6
Census Ref HO107/490/ 3/39/ 24
1851 Census
William Cramp 42 occ Shoe Maker b Kingsworth
Mary 41 b Thornham
Ruth 17 occ Shoe Binder
Rose 16 occ Shoe Binder
George 6
Robert 2
Arthur 3 months
Residing at 18, George Street, Maidstone
All children born Maidstone
Census Ref HO107/1617/165/21
In Sept 1859 Maidstone 2a 699 William Cramp marries a Matha Windschefel/Windscheffe, as William Venner Cramp
It is the large gap between birth of Rose and George that puzzles me, and where is Mary Ann?

Good morning,
This is way more than I thought I would find. Many thankyous.
Re Albert Edward SHERSBY, first appears On 1913 Qld Electoral Roll 1913, and still appears in Qld till 1958. Dies 1960 Bris, Qld BDM 1960/B40947 Father Thomas & mother Mary Ann Day. (not one of her previous names, CRAMP/LETCHFORD/REGAN(T). Wondering if married and came with family?
At Richard LETCHFORD and Mary Ann CRAMP's wedding the witness was Thomas DAY...so need further research.
Also need to look at Thomas SHERSBY/Mary Anne REGAN(T) Marriage for details.
-
Hi again it was a Ragen(t) or Bagen(t) not Regan(t) !
Their is a death of a James Frederick Ragent in June 1878 Gravesend 2a 246 aged 38
Also another one a Ragen but he was 95!
The finding of the maiden name of Day is interesting as as you may have noted in my post re William Cramp the Shoemaker, I was having a good deal of trouble locating a Mary Ann in 1851 and 1861?!
Also how do we know he was not born in Australia, is there any mention of him being born in England and when/where?

Hello, have had a good look at what you have sent.
There are 2 1851 Census's entries 1 for William CRAMP & 1 for Hannah FINCH
In William's is listed a Mary 41 & Hannah's 47 (Widow) is at the Union Workhouse with I presume the 3 younger of their children. Hannah in 1841 Census was 30..so a little elastic with age or is it possible this could be a badly written '1'
The elder 2 girls were ?working for William therefore I presumed they stayed with him!
I am assuming they separated as William remarries in 1859 (see your entry 28 Aug). It is preferable to say "widow" than left husband-would this be correct? Is there any marriage record of William CRAMP & Hannah FINCH?
Also if Hannah Finch(47) is the 1851 death William may have taken on the children again.
Re the Stills (30 Aug). You had not given me this info previously
Also found an article in the Brisbane Courier Mail in April 1938 Albert Edward Shersby is is promoted to Sub Inspector in the Qld Police Force. In the article it states he joined in 1909, the earliest I can find him here in Oz. He Marries Johanna Duff in Brisbane 1912 Ref is Qld BMD 1912/C1769 Cheers C

Hi again, I recall looking up the baptisms for the 2 eldest Cramp girls their mother was a Mary, will fill in later unless you can spot on Family Search or sks finds not just them but the other children!
It also may be better if you split Albert Edward Shersby onto the Australian board, with ref to this thread or his possible parents in the UK
Ruth Cramp 17th November 1833 Maidstone
Rosanna Cramp 22nd March 1835 Maidstone
Rachel Cramp 1st January 1837 Maidstone
George Cramp 5th November 1848 Maidstone
Robert Cramp 5th November 1848 Maidstone
Possible death Rachel Cramp Sept qtr 1837 Maidstone 5 226
All baptisms Father William Mother Mary
The second 1851 is a Hannah Fidge not Finch or so it looks, and Williams wife in 1851 is a Mary?
Re re-marriage in 1859 possible death, Mary Cramp Dec qtr 1857 Maidstone 2a 273
William aged 60 Martha aged 50 Robert 22 in Marylebone Middx in 1871 census ref RG10/159/64/25 in 1881 William and Martha RG11/145/27/45 No sign of Robert?
In 1901 Martha Cramp aged 84 is an Inmate/Widow occ Supported by Charity at 26, Christian Union Alms Houses, John Street, Marylebone RG13/111/27/46
Death William Venner Cramp Dec qtr 1885 Marylebone 1a 392 aged 76
Death Martha Cramp Dec qtr 1910 Marylebone 1a 350 aged 91
