Title: Lockinge Estate, Wantage
Post by: MaggieK on Sunday 26 August 12 12:51 BST (UK)
Hi,

I know that this is probably a needle in a haystack situation, but does anyone have any photos of the people who worked on the Lockinge Estate, Wantage around 1914. Or are they familiar with anyone who had a cleft lip who worked on the Estate at that time. The reason I ask is that the only clue I have to a relative is the cleft lip and that they may have worked on the Lockinge Estate.

Thanks for any info.
Maggie

Have you tried contacting the Estate?  They have an archivist.

Hi Maggie
As a local and family history volunteer in both the Vale and Downland Museum and Wantage Library I maybe able to help. What is the surname of the person with the cleft lip? There are no lists of the workers on the Lockinge Estate but I do know the archivist who may also be able to help but would also need a name.
Kind regards
Trevor
