The War Hospital Perth was known as the Murthly War Hospital and was a mental asylum presumably for "shell shock" victims.
The Patients records 1912-1985 including ref THB30/3 for admissions, discharges and deaths are held by the Archive Services,University of Dundee.
They have a web page (Google University of Dundee Archives) and their contact info is...

Hi Eddie

Murthly hospital was part of the Murray Royal and Murthly Hospitals both were mental hospitals

Murthly closed in 1985  Murray Royal has just been rebuilt mostly.

 :)
I am also researching William Kennedy who died in Perth on 23/10/1918.
He was my great great grand uncle. Does anyone know anything about his brother Alexander Kennedy who was born in December 1889 in Crieff?
I may have found him in the Army Service Corps 10th battery? Also there is another brother called Donald Kennedy born in July 1886.

Any assistance would be very welcome.
Thank you  ;)

BruceL  :)
I'm sorry. After posting my request I found out that I had the wrong William.
My William's parents were Duncan and Mary but yours was Elizabeth.
My search continues.
Sincere apologies.  :'(
