Dear ripper

It would probably come under St George's Hanover Square (City of Westminster)

TNA has a list of street names.

Start here: http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Place:St_George_Hanover_Square_Registration_District,_1891_Census_Street_Index

Pimlico is references RG12/72 to RG12/77

Thanks Sydenhamer
Do you think it would be Belgrave or Mayfair ? (I don't know London well) If its any help I'm looking for Charlwood Place the post code (now) is SW1V 2LX
Also, do you know if there is, anywhere on the web, where they have a searchable enumeration district 'finder' (it would be rather helpful!)
Thanks again

Just a bit puzzled?

I don't know anyone who looks at censuses by enumeration district?

I always use the TNA references: Class, Piece, Folio and Page.

Charlwood Place is RG12 (for 1891), Piece 75, Folios 22-25.

Hi KGarrad!
I'm not much use at this!
What I do is put in the county, then the civil parish, then sub registration district, then I trawl through all the enumeration districts for the road! (I always thought there must be a quicker way!)
So if I go to the 1891 census, where do I enter the RG, piece, folio etc....
Gosh, am I being thick?

If you use FindMyPast, then there is an address search!

On Ancestry, when you are on the England (or Wales) 18x1 Census, click on Advanced, and the fields magically appear!

You are BRILLIANT, that should speed things up!
As you're obviously better at this than me (that's not hard!) do you know if there is a census for Monaco c 1891 on the web ? (if they had a census)
Thanks again, hope you're enjoying this lovely weather.
