Does anybody have access to some parish records in Kent?
The person I am looking for is:
Elizabeth Hart born 1819, on an 1851 census it just gives place of birth
as - Chart Kent, I think it may be Great Chart in Kent.
Her father was James Hart.
Many thanks

hi ewan
Are you aware that there is also Chart Sutton and I am building an extention in Little Chart, Ithink there may be others. Most of these places are quite a long way from each other.

Hello Olias
Thanks for that information, yes I looked on the map about a year ago when I found out that an ancestor was born in Chart Kent.
I have a feelling though it is Great Chart I should be looking at. But saying that if I have no luck there I may have to look at the other Charts.

Hi Ewan,
Remember me? My son starts a new job in Maidstone next week, so when the weather improves I may travel down with him and go into County Hall where the parish records are kept. When I do I will let you know.
Patrish.

Hi Ewan
This is an old request so you may well have the information by now but, if not, there is now a baptism on the IGI for Elizabeth HART 1819 in Great Chart with father James http://www.familysearch.org

Hello Casalguidi
I did indeed find information out about Elizabeth Hart from a person at the beginning of last year. It turned out that their ancestor William was my James' brother back in 1774 in Kent, and we still e mail each other to this day. In fact they are the only relative that I know from my dad's family.
I do apologise for not putting 'completed' on this thread, I have never noticed this baptism entry on the IGI so whether it has been added recently I don't know. However, when I did take a look I see that there are siblings of Elizabeth which I did not know about. So thank you for letting me know about this entry.

Hi Ewan
Yes, the IGI has been greatly updated for Kent recently so I would guess that the Great Chart entries are relatively "new".
