hi, cannot find marriage of finlay mclean to margaret mcdonald  i have them as parents to donald mclean b c1818 stornoway isle of lewis, (stated on second marriage to christina campbell 1874)  so i guess it has to be in that area but as yet have drawn a blank? with thanks.

Hi My Finlay was married to Catherine Mclean on the 16.6.1837 Kirkhill.inverness
They had about 9 kids all was born in the kirkhill/badrain area.
His parents were john or Anech Mclean and Grizzal Cameron.So I think we are talking about two different people.with the same name.
He was born in Kilmorack abt 1811 and died 6.8.1883 in badrain.

yes I think so my finlay was born a lot earlier and was from lochs in isle of lewis.
