-
hi
on the igi batches early 1700 are named craxford but no marriages are there any children that match these
-
Do you have Burials for Richard/Elizabeth?
Is that how you have a possible age for him?
What confirmed Baptisms of Children do you have?
Or at least the Child of theirs you are decended from please.
This all I can find at present;
Christenenings, Crowland Abbey to RICHARD/ELIZ
MARY Craxford 29 Jan 1756 to Richd/Eliz (buried April 1756, St Guthlac)
ELIZ Craxford 11 Sept 1760 to Richard/Eliz
MARY-ANNE Croxford 05 Sept 1764 to Richd/Eliz
MARY 30 April 1769 to Richard/Elizabeth
There is a MARY Croxford buried St Guthlac 27 March 1769, Daug Richard/Eizabeth so looks like the baby on the way was named after her April 1769.

Familysearch.Org has this Child also;
GREEN Croxford, 30 Jan 1762 to RICHD/ELIZ
Possible Marriage;
Richard CROXFORD of Crowland Parish to Eliz GREEN of Crowland Parish
09 July 1755, St Guthlac, Crowland, Lincolnshire
Witnesses, James GREEN, Wm BECKWITH

+ a burial of THOS Craxford, St Guthlac, 21 June 1759, on of Richd/Eliz
(havent found his Baptism though)
GREEN Croxford was buried 1827 age 69
He Married Elizabeth WILLSON 30 Oct 1780
A John WILLSON Married Elizabeth CROXFORD 14 July 1783
A Richard CROXFORD was a Witness
Trouble is Richard may have been born anywhere and anytime between 1720-1735.

Hi Trish,
I been through the Crowland records and come up with just the same as your self, I had followed Green Croxford as i have all his details. I think Richard was the first Croxford in Crowland. The name Craxford pops up but i am sure this was a spelling mistake by a vicar as it mostly appears in the Baptisms.
The thing is did Richard come from the Huntington or Oxford Croxford i would say they are all related from John de Croxford
of Kiddlington in Oxfordshire.
Thanks for showing interest hope to hear from you again
Best Regards Cliff
