New thread as requested. Thanks for you patience with a newby to this section.
This one was scanned at a higher definition. Its very faded and was very tatty so have cropped it. Gran's outfit was a mushroom coloured pattern (I even remember it!!) and the grandson was wearing a pale blue cardy.

Thank you Hippy. It makes me smile to see them just as I remember them. Sadly my grandfather died the following year, Gran outlived him by 27 years! Kate

A try, regards, John.

Thank you John. I can see this is something I am going to have to get a handle on myself. I've had a little dabble myself - not very successful so far! Realise that it is harder than it looks. There is whole box of old photos waiting for me in Jersey that I will eventually have to practice on. Any insider hints as to the best programmes to use ....pretty please ..... Regards Kate

Thanks Mike (and to everyone else who has enhanced my old photos). A bigger version of this photo is up on the wall in Jersey. Will have to wait until I get back home to see if it too has faded as much as the small one I have here. Thanks again everyone. Gotta go .... ten past midnight. Not good for my health!!! Kate

Hi Kate....A late entry on this one.

Thanks so much. Got to talk to my aunt in Jersey this morning, and apparently the original up on the wall is very faded. It will be lovely to be able to give her a new "you beaut" version. Kate
