I wonder if anyone would be able to restore the attached photograph of my grandparents for me. My brother has tried and done a very good image for a first attempt, but cannot get the left eye correct. I have scanned the photograph twice, once with the recommended automatic corrections - that is the darker image. The lighter image was just scanned. Such a beautiful couple I would love to get it enlarged and properly framed.
This is the first time sending pictures. Can anyone advise how to get a quality that falls within the 500 max. These photos scanned on medium are about 700+ but the low quality are only about 97. Can't seem to get anything in between.
Thanks you in advance.

Thank you all so much. I thought we had another copy of this in the family, but apparently not, so this is it. Thanks again.
Can I indulge and ask you to look at another. Same grandparents about 40 years later! Taken October 1957, sadly very faded and I have cropped all the tatty edges. This one I have scanned at a higher resolution!

And another

Katie you really need to start another post with your second photo as the post becomes too long and those who have done your first one may not return to it.

Irene - I am just so grateful for the response from this site. I just love this photo. Such a shame the original ever got scratched, but goes to show the quality of the original 95 years ago. Thanks for your time and skill.
