Hi i am looking for any information on James Thomson His Birth/Death/ Parents anything.
He married Margaret Anne Murray in 1944 in Edinburgh. Margaret was born 1921 Edinburgh Died 1977 Stirlingshire.
They had 3 boys. Youngest born 1949 Perth which i have ordered from SP Birth Certificate

I'm afraid you can't view that record online via Scotland's People so to see it you' d need to order but it will have his parents and Margaret's on it. The record can be ordered via Scotland's People :

 Married 1944   THOMSON   JAMES   MURRAY   MARGARET ANNE   MORNINGSIDE   EDINBURGH CITY/MIDLOTHIAN    ref 685/07 0042

His age will be on the marriage cert which will give you an idea of when he was born but as it is likely to be after 1911 that record too would need to be ordered as the info isn't visible online.

Was Margaret a widow when she died?

It would narrow the date of death for James

Not sure if Margaret died first. The only detail i have on James is his Marriage.
Will have to order his marriage to get a kick off with the research.

Worth bearing in mind that such records can be viewed at your local Registrar's Office (if you are in Scotland) but it's not cheap.

Unfortunately, i don't live in Scotland. I afraid that would be my second home if i did. I really enjoy doing this research  :)

James Thomson Married Margaret Anne Murray on 11th March 1944 Edinburgh. 685/070042.

James was 29years old. Birth date 1915 (63 matches on SP)  Death date 1978 Glasgow 609/000299.

James parents Francis Thomson & Jessie Dick. Only found a marriage 1899 Falkland.Fife 428/000007. Not sure if this is them.

Margaret was 22 years when married. Her parents William Murray & Margaret McKenzie
Margaret Anne Murray Born 5/5/1921 Morningside.Edinburgh. (! match on SP)
Margaret Death 14/5/1977 Stirlingshire ( cannot find it on SP)
