Title: WATT - SCOTT
Post by: PJ Campbell on Sunday 22 July 12 13:04 BST (UK)
Hi there

I'm looking for information on a James Watt that married a Jane Scott.  They had a son James Watt born about 1796 i think in Fyvie, Aberdeenshire.  I have the Death Record of James Jr. with lists this parents as the above and confirms this wife as Susan Farquhar.  Can anyone tell me if James and Jane had anymore children, or when they married, or death dates.

Any information is much appreciated.

Thanks

Personally, I am finding nothing. As you have the death record, when and where did James Watt die?
We/I may then be able to work backwards from there.

Regards

Thanks Malky

He died in Percy something, can't quite make it out, looks like horner in the Parish of Pitsligo on 8th Jan. 1867 aged about 70 years.  Was married to Susan Farquhar.  Father was James Watt, Mason (Deceased), mother was Jane Watt m.s. Scott (Deceased).  Cause of death was Old Age.

Yes, there is a place called Percyhorner.  :)
I have viewed the 1851 census on freecen and note the birthplace of James Watt is Tyrie, not Fyvie.
