My great great grandfather William Withers was born in Bristol in 1843, with some help from members I discovered that his family then moved to the Gorbals in Glasgow for some reason unknown to me.
William Withers married in Scotland and had six children some born in scotland and then must have returned to Bristol where my Great grandfather George Withers was born.
Sadly I think I have discovered that my gggrandad William as per 1911 census was in the workhouse in fishponds Bristol. This upset me and I could not understand why his children allowed this to happen. My ggrandad was was living in Wales at this time. William Withers died in 1914 I assume in the workhouse.
Does anyone have information on William Withers other children as I can't seem to trace them after their birth, they are Charles, Henry, Eliza, Amelia Ann ( dod 1856) and Thomas Withers
Many Thanks

I have now obtained the death certificate of William Withers and this confirms that he died in the Eastville Workhouse in Bristol on 20.11.1914.
The informant was his son Edward. I have discovered where his wife Ann Tipton is buried but he is not with her.
Is it possible that he ended up in a paupers grave and are there any records kept of such burials??
I would appreciate some help or a pointer as where to look :D
