Difficult to say whether these Murphys were from Tyrone or Armagh because of the closeness of the parish boundaries. Anyone who is a descendant of brothers:Thomas/John/James/William/Patrick/Joseph Murphy-please advise. There were two sisters in this family: Mary Jane [who may have married a Hughes and Susan who married Francis Hagan.
Thanks

Hi,
5 Aug 1884 James Hughes married Mary Jane Murphy in Benburb Roman Catholic Church.

This is really helpful. Wondering if Mary Jane Murphy and James Hughes had children? This would lead me a step further.
-
Did they stay in Ireland? if so, have you searched for them in 1901 and 1911 census?
-
Yes-They stayed in Ireland but they are not turning up in either census

The RootsIreland index shows the following children to a James Hughes and Mary Jane Murphy: Mary Ellen/Eleanor b.1885; Patrick Joseph b.1887; Elizabeth Catherine b.1888; William James b.1889; Mary Ellen b.1890, John James b.1891; Margaret Jane b.1892. All born in Armagh.
I wonder is this Mary Jane in 1901:
