Title: Crilly/Bradley, Kilrea
Post by: milehamandres on Monday 16 July 12 01:44 BST (UK)
I am researching the descendants of Catherine "Kitty" Bradley and Thomas Crilley/Crilly of Kilrea - their son Thomas moved to England and his granddaughter moved to the US after WWII.  ANY information would be appreciated.

Hi,
Civil registration of births started in Ireland in 1864 and I have come across the following births, all registered in Kilrea, where Thomas Crilly and Catherine Bradley were the parents.
24 Feb 1865 Bernard
8 Jul 1867    Dan
22 Jan 1872 Charles.

Regards

Brilliant. Meant to add earlier that there is at least one Crilly headstone at Drumagarner R.C. Church outside Kilrea.

Took a ride this evening to Drumagarner- only 1 Crilly headstone- unfortunately not the one I was hoping to find but will post if here in case later a connection is found (Ballynian is near Swatragh)-

In Loving Memory of John [O'] Crilly, Ballynian, who died 1st July 1894, aged 68 years, Also his son Peter, who died 28th April 1894, aged 16 years. Also his wife Mary, who died 19th July 1914, aged 82 years. Margaret Crilly who died 11th July 1996, aged 81 years Thomas Crilly who died 19th Feb.1982 aged 78 years.
Note: the O' leading is missing but otherwise stone is in excellent condition.

PRONI (www.proni.gov.uk) have Wills, etc. for these Crillys-
"The Will of John Crilly late of Ballynian County Londonderry Farmer who died 1 July 1894 at same place was proved at Londonderry by James Crilly of Ballynian Farmer and Samuel Greer of Tivaconway in said County Auctioneer the Executors."
"Administration of the Estate of Mary Crilly late of Ballynian County Londonderry Widow who died 25 July 1914 granted at Londonderry to Mary McLoughlin Married Woman"
Other Crillys of Ballynian listed.
