I wondered if someone can help me with the date of this postcard and have a guess at the age of the individual. It was found in my paternal grandparents photo collection. He doesn't look like he's from my grandmother's side of the family so I'm wondering if he is either my great grandfather Thomas Marchant 1877-1935 or great x 2 grandfather Richard Marchant 1849-1922. Any help much appreciated!

Not sure about date, but would say he's late twenties, early thirties in age. Not an expert, but don't think this works for someone born 1849

Thanks! Maybe he is the younger of the two. Hopefully someone will be able to give me advice as to the dating and that will shed some light on this one!

I think the postcard looks like it's from the 1920s or even 30s, so the young man might have been born around 1900.

Thanks for your reply! That rules out my great grandfather as well then. Will have to do more digging to find out who this mystery man is.
