An Ada Clark married a William P Ratcliffe in 1929 in Leigh Lancashire per freebmd

Is this your Percy and Ada?

Forget that one - Lancs BMD shows his middle name as Pass

There is no other Clarke/e- Ratcliff/e marriage showing

Yes i realized when i had my grandparents marriage certificate that the E on the end of ratcliff had been knocked off.

Seems to be like that for some records, even my granddads siblings some have the E at the end and some don't.
