Hi all .. I have found an online database by Gedling Borough Council which is wonderful for those of us not based in England ;D I wonder if anyone would be happy to take photographs for me at Redhill Cemetery,Mansfield Road, Redhill (near Arnold) - I have the Section, but unfortunately it is just called Extension - no row numbers.
From downunder :-*

Sorry to piggyback on this message, but I live just around the corner from Redhill Cemetery in Arnold, Nottingham (my great-grandparents and grandparents are buried there). If you've not had any luck with this, I'd be more than happy to help.
Best regards

I live around the corner from Redhill Cemetery. Would be delighted to help you. Who are you looking for? If you can give me name, dates etc, I can find their grave.

I went to Carlton and Redhill a couple of weeks ago (didn't bother with Gedling). Despite what the council website says there is no freely available map of either cemetery. It was a week day and there happened to be council staff working at each one who helped me with their own working maps, and I have to say Redhill was a lot simpler to work out than Carlton. Also, if you go to Wilford Hill, go in the office and ask for what you are looking for and the ladies on the desk will be only too happy to help as they have record books there going back years.

I'm sorry I've not been able to get up to Redhill to take photographs. My daughter got pretty poorly during half term break and now she is getting ready to go back to school on Tuesday. Let me know if you still need someone to help x
