As I'm unsure about what can be asked for please feel free to tell me if I am asking something that is not allowed.
I'm looking for information about My great grandfather and his parents!
His name was:
Charles Henry Carr, he was mairried to Rose Jerrim in southampton oct 31 1882 and I have a copy of his marriage certificate which says that his father was called Thomas Carr, a mast maker and he was born about 1861
His address given on the marriage certificate was 14 Rye Terrace, which I believe was Hexam, my Father told me that he came from sunderland.
I would be very gratefull if someone could have a look at the censuse of 1861, 1871 and 1881 to see if they can spot him, I did find one entry for 1871 for a Charle Henry Carr aged 9 in New Borough Prison Hedon Rd, but that persons birthplace was east riding Yorkshire so I'm not covinced its him.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that, my father always said there was some sort of controversy about Charles and Rose's Marriage, but it looks like it was his father who was a cradle snatcher!
Thanks again
