Please could anyone date and or restore this photo of my Great Grandfather James Mitchell who lived in Guisbrough, N Yorks between 1872 and 1930. he was an ironstone miner. i would estimate maybe early 1920s.

Not much there to date. Men dressed this way over a long period of time, so it could be any time within the date range you've given.  However, if you're sure of the identification of the person shown, I'd guess at around mid 1890s-early 1900s going by his apparent age :)
