I am searching for Longfoot ancestors and are looking for burial of George Longfoot. I do know that one died in 1842 but wondering if there was another previously ? Easton churchyard has a headstone for a George but the date, though indistinct, looks more like 1812. :-\
Grateful for any help

Hi
The only one I can see is the one buried 30 Sept 1842 aged 83.
-
Thank you for looking. It is possible that the 1 in 1812 could be a 4 :) as I said, headstone not too clear.
Thanks again

Hello bapt at Easton on the hill,8.6.1755
george longfoot, son of john.Margaret.
-
Oh thank you so much. I wondering now if there is another George !! The George that died in 1842 left a will and mentions his sisters Mary Richardson, Ruth & Elizabeth. But Mary's baptism says parents John & Elizabeth :-\
But thank you again and so appreciated.

There is no mother mentioned in the parish register for any of John's children.
Women were not considered important in those days!
-
A few difficulties ahead then ! :)

Hi Sue.
I think it may have been a bit confussing on magslote posting as her
name is Margaret.
As Marilyn says just John noted in the P.R.
I think someone has done a transcription of Easton's P.R.
and a copy is held at the N.Record Office.
I may be in-correct though.

Oh. I got it wrong completely then :) Thank you Sandy. Is the index available only at the Record Office ? Do you know if copies can be purchased ? I'm all questions aren't I :)
Thanks once more

Hi again Sue.
I think it needs to be confirmed that is where the copy of the
transcipt is that I saw as I might be totally wrong.
Alan and Marilyn would have Easton on their Indexes.
Just go to Alan Clarke's link below posting.
Also the Northants Family History Society and the Northants
Look up Exchange both on my Useful Northants Links below
posting may be of help.
