Hi Arry and Rosie,
For the birth found by Rosie - the mother's maiden name was Sharrock - and several more children were born to this couple. (Lancs BMD)
In 1881 this particular Fell family are living in Stacksteads, Bacup, but several birthplaces are 'dittoed' by the enumerator under 'Lancashire', whereas he possibly meant to ditto under 'Stacksteads'. Joseph Fell aged 51 and Elizabeth 42, were both born in the Preston area, according to this 1881 census;
RG11/4128/50/12

Hi Arry,
I know this is a long shot, as this is such an old post, but the William Fell you are speaking of, is my great grandfaher. I have lots of information on him. You don't happen to be Horace's son do you?
Look forward to hearing from you soon,
Vikki
