Title: Wallace family info needed

Hi, looking for information of any sort to add to what I know about the following family:

Grandfather: James William Wallace 1846 - 1900 b. Lanarkshire & m. Catherine Carland b. Sydney Australia

GG: Hugh Wallace b 1820 in Galston, 1841 living in Dumfries & emigrated to Australia in 1849 m Annabella Bagnall b Anderston, Lanarkshire, 1841 living in Gorbals

Have a couple further back too but would like to find out more about these particularly as we are here in Scotland at the moment & it's too good an opportunity to pass up!

OPR's are not known to be very detailed  ;D

thanks Monica - I was rather hoping something new may have arisen as there seem to be new records being released all the time & it's a while since I've done much with this side of the family. As I said, too good a chance to miss while we're here in Scotland!

How can we help you best?

These for example look to be some siblings for Hugh Wallace showing on IGI www.rootschat.com/links/0oig/ Lots of info here on Galston, Ayrshire www.ayrshireroots.com/Towns/Galston/Galston.htm

Have you tried to follow through on Hugh's parents? Death certs, further census entries etc.?

Annabella's trickier to find details on parents. What have you found on them to date?
