Just wondered if someone could help me find the marriage of Alice Maude Fisher ... she married George Turner in 1886. She had an ilegimate son.. Harry Fisher who was born in February 1886 in Boston Spa.. Yorkshire... and she went on to marry George Turner soon after that. I am from Scotland and the English records do seem harder to find..... would appreciate any help.. thanks

This one from FreeBMD looks promising:
Marriage, Jun qtr 1886

George TURNER
on the same page, York 9d 41

Familysearch suggests these two married each other at St Lawrence, York on 4 April 1886.
George Turner, aged 22, son of Henry Eccles Turner
Alice Maude Fisher, aged 18, daughter of William George Fisher

For confirmation and full details you'll need the marriage certificate or full parish record.

FreeBMD has the marriage of a William George Fisher to to either Sarah Scruton Carey or Elizabeth Kidd in the the March Qtr of 1865 in the York Reg. District (vol. 9d page 47).
There is also the marriage of a Henry Eccles Turner to either Harriet Atkinson or Alice Topgarton in the Sept Qtr of 1860 in the Pocklington Reg. District (vol. 9d page 107)
That would make any children afterwards be aged around 20-25 when they married.....
Pocklington is about 11 miles east of York...
