I was told Andrew Hogg married Elizabeth Connor in St. Annes Church, I believe it was a Catholic Church
my Hogg family as far as I know were Presbyterains. in 1855, how could they be William Hogg who married Mary Jane Moody, parents??? There was an Andrew Hogg, who lived on Roddenfoot street Ballymoney. thanks cax

St. Annes = Church of Ireland, not Catholic.

Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church, so whilst Elizabeth may have been Church of Ireland, Andrew could well have been of another denomination eg Presbyterian.
