Title: Help reading a census page
Post by: Li5a on Sunday 24 June 12 17:11 BST (UK)
I have found one of my ancestors,  Hannah Shenton born 1784 in the 1851 census in Pendleton HO107 piece 2222.  There is no more source information as these census pages were badly damaged.  If anyone has access to this census could they please help me decipher her place of birth?  I have not included an image as I am unsure about copyright.

Many thanks

Lisa

Thanks Stonechat and Mo for your quick replies.  I agree it could be Tattonhall.  My only concern is most of the other places of birth give the county first followed by the place but I don't know of any county that looks like that.  I will try to find her birth in Tattonhall.

Many thanks again
