Hi everyone,
Any help with information on Albert Miller born in Liverpool on February 14, 1922 would be appreciated. He joined the Navy in 1939 and later settled in Canada. Some of his siblings were Henry and George. His mother's maiden name was Barwise (we think her first name was Margaret but we are not sure and we think she died in 1968 in Liverpool). We don't know his father's name but we're guessing it was Al (Allan, Allen or Albert). His uncles were George and Albert Barwise and he had a sister Margaret.
Thank you for any help you can give us.

Radcliffe - thank you so much for all the information. Need to sort it out in my head lol.
How do I buy the birth certificate for Albert? I am in Canada and have no idea where to purchase.
One other question....are baptisms registered somewhere. Is it possible to look up a baptism certificate for George Alexander Barwise Miller?? We think it would have been around April or May possibly 1947 in Liverpool possibly at St. Francis ...... church. We've tried tracking it down but have run into a dead end.
Thanks ever so much,
Glenda

Tommy was the eldest brother, then Albert,Eddy,Henry, Margaret and lastly George. Sadly there are now only two living, Henry and Margaret. www.lancashirebmd.org.uk confirms the marriage
6 children - the first one in 1920 - last one 1929 ,so I presume John T Miller fought in WW1 for 5 years

Hi Eileen, sent you a message but not sure you can get it. My partner's name is also George Miller - he was named after your father lol. He is Albert Miller's eldest son. He is very interested in his family history as most of his family lived in Liverpool and he had no or very little contact. He did visit with his Uncle Albert (your dad's brother) with his family when he was a youngster.

awww Glenda that means that George and i are cousins. How lovely that he is named after my dad. My dad being the baby was very special to all the brothers. I met Uncle Albert only once when he came to Liverpool in 1993 for the battle of Britain remembrance. He was very dapper as were all the brothers. They had a very hard life, their own father Tommy was cruel. but their mum margaret was tiny and very quiet. Please tell George welcome to a huge family :) xx
