hello
i was wondering if any kind person who has access to the ancestry records (i  no longer have a subscription )
im after a look up for any service or pension records for  a william lewis royal welsh fusiliers his victory medal has the service number 3447 , i have down loaded his medal index card from the na  and it gives  a further 2 service numbers  12789 and 203389  .
he may have been born or lived in holyhead anglesey north wales ,
so any help would be much appreciated

Hello Leonard,
Checked with ancestry for you.
No pension or service records for either of the three service numbers you have given for William Lewis.  There was a Wilfred C Lewis RF came from Stafford.

Hi,

Unfortunately around 70% of WW1 army service records were lost in the Blitz in WW2.
