Hi,
Can anyone help?
We are trying to do our family tree, to which we know that we have connections to the Russell surname in Warwickshire. The person that we have in our tree is a
Thomas Russell born between 1880 and 1890 in the Warwickshire area and died in the early 1960's in Long Lawford, Nr. Rugby, Warwickshire.
We know that he married a Maud Rose Hales, who was born in Hillmorton, Nr. Rugby, Warwickshire, with whom he had many children. We know that they where not married before 1901, as Maud is single and living at home in the 1901 census.
We believe that Thomas' family originated from the Dunchurch, Warwickshire and surrounding areas.
We know that Thomas, had sisters of Ada, Nell, May and Ethel, whom we believe where younger than him.
If you can help with any information about him, his ascendants or descendants, then I'd be very gratefull if you could contact me.
Thank you.

I think this may be the family you are looking for on the 1901 census:
New Bilton, Rugby, Warwickshire
Robert Russell Head 45 Farmer born Hunningham, Warks
Mary Russell Wife 43 born Harbury, Warks
John Russell Son 18 born Emscote, Warks
Thomas Russell Son 15 born Leamington, Warks
James Russell Son 12 born Milverton, Warks
Ellen Russell Dau 8 born New Bilton, Warks
Ada Russell Dau 4 born New Bilton, Warks
Ethel Russell Dau 2 born New Bilton, Warks
RG13/2915 Folio 116 Page 52
New Bilton is about 5 miles from Dunchurch.
If you can get Thomas and Maud's marriage cert it will confirm if this is correct.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Indi

Hi. I know your query was many years ago. But I have only just joined this particular forum. Your search has no doubt progressed since then, but I would have confirmed the information supplied to you. Thomas’s father, Robert Russell, was my first cousin, 4th removed. I think Thomas would be my 2nd cousin, 3rd removed. Robert’s father was Thomas, son of William.
