Title: Royal Field Artillery WW1
Post by: popanjan on Tuesday 12 June 12 17:42 BST (UK)
I am researching my great uncle Charles Daniels who died of wounds 08/10/1916 in France. He was a driver in "B" Battery 103 Brigade and is buried in Rouen. His service number was 137129. I have tried national archives and cannot find any war diary information available on line. His service records appear to have been lost in WW2 bombing. We have located his burial place but would love to find more detail of his service prior to his death, and what action he was involved in when he was mortally wounded. We would also like to trace his medical records if possible.
Any help would be so much appreciated.

The war diary for 103 Brigade, RFA for the period Aug 1915 to Oct 1917 is located at the National Archives under WO95/2175

Think they were with 23rd Div throughout the war.

If you google "103rd Brigade RFA " you get a lot of links to threads on Great War Forum
