Kedgwin Jenkins b. abt. 1817 Monmouthshire was my gggg-grandfather. Does anyone have any further information on him. He was married in 1839 in the Chepstow district to a woman called Elizabeth. I know nothing of his parents, siblings or family before him. Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Rhys,
Was Richard and Mary's surname Jenkins aswell? Just asking to clarify. Would they be Kedgwyn's parents? Hmmmmmm.
The Harris child is strange though, as the Kedgwin age 20 that you said is on the 1861 with an Aunt is Kedgwin and Elizabeth's son, and he married a Ruth HARRIS.
I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.

It looks like the family crossed the River Wye at some point, but never very far from Chepstow, and it looks like the enumerator was having trouble spelling the place names, and the 1851 census on line was transcribed by a Canadian, no local knowlege, so as he says, he types them as he see's 'em
This is the 1851 census for Tiddenham, Glos, which if you are not local, is on the high ground above Chepstow as you head into the Forest of Dean
