Title: Pension Records
Post by: redpaws on Sunday 10 June 12 10:04 BST (UK)
What sort of information is held on the old age proof of extraction claim forms 1841-1851 that www.ancestryireland.com (http://www.ancestryireland.com) have available to their guild members?

Not sure which details Ancestry Ireland have, but there are some examples of the details recorded on the forms at this link

  Inver civil parish, Donegal (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/invercensearch.htm)

There can often be a great deal of information in the pension applications- especially if the first search was not successful and applicant was asked for clarification/more details.
If applicant wasn't sure where they lived in 1841/51 there are often several possible addresses/relatives listed with a connection to the applicant.

I was wondering about this too..I have a couple with 9 kids named, with ages etc.

On the record it shows the following (as per snippet which I hope is OK to post)...My query is this; It says age 9 in 1851 etc, so was this information as given by applicant OR is it as a result of data having been checked, in other words has it been officially verified?
