Hi
I was hoping someone may have access to the records for St Nicholas in Kings Norton. I am looking for a marriage for a James Sargeant to a Emma Terry in 1852.
Have checked the mircofilm at birmingham archives and the reel had been damaged in the time frame i need from march to October 1852 and pieced together.
Many regards

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Yes i have the same details but believe it must be october/early november as nothing on the reel for rest of november or december so i think the time frame i need will be as mentioned. I think i will need to order the marriage certificate as i cant confirm James parents without it.
Many thanks

Is he the 1861 entry born 1827 "Bodmin" Somerset - living in Birmingham?
1871 shows his birthplace as 1826 Bodenham Herefordshire

Do you know a June Drake? She notified an 1851 transcription error on the following entry which was mis-transcribed as Seayent
1851 for Herefordshire
John Sargeant/Seargent 68 farm labourer b Bodenham
Mary 68 b Hope under ??
James 28 farm labourer b Bodenham

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Yes It is Bodenham Herefordshire. This is the James i am looking for. Only one transcription as you also found with Bodmin Somerset.
No i don't know a June drake unfortunately. I have his birth at around 1823 not 1826. I have found James parents to be John and Mary Sargeant from a baptism record on LDS but unable to confirm his father from his marriage lines and birth to me is 1823. As i can not find a birth in herefordshire in 1826.
I also have the same details for 1851 but as yet unconfirmed parents. Feel the only option is to order the marriage certificate as had no joy at birmingham archives regarding marriage either.
