Hi,
Not sure if we have the same family here - My Neil Watters (circa 1863 - no idea if where he was born) married Bethia McNeil in Lanarkshire, Scotland & later took the family to USA - arriving Ellis Island 1909 - ship - Columbia.
Is this any help to you? :)

Have you found Neil Watters in any censs records (Scottish or American( to see what country is listed for place of birth? His marriage certificate will list names of both parents which should also help to research his family.

Ballyclog RC marriage records show marriage on 2 February 1890 between John Devlin of Ballinagown and Elizabeth Watters of Ballinagowan.
FamilySearch.org confirms registration of marriage in Dungannon Registration District which would indicate that the marriage possibly took place in Brackaville/Coalisland, rather than Stewartstown

Hi,
The Devlin/Watters marriage mentioned above took place in Coalisland Roman Catholic Church.

hey pat does it give an age for this john devlin when he married
Thanks laura

No age given in the particular copy of Ballyclog records which I have. It's probably advisable to get a copy of the marriage certificate from GRONI - it may not have ages but it should have father's name and this may help to narrow a search for this John Devlin

Hi,
I have a record of a James Watters who married Mary Bell in Brigh Presbyterian Church, Ballyclog, Cookstown on 3 Nov 1920.

hi sorry for the late reply, do u know any more about the james watters. like his parents and grandparents????
-
Hi,
Sorry, I have no older information but James Watters and Mary Bell had a daughter Susan Hazelton Watters, born in Mountjoy, Co. Tyrone, who married David Oliver Turkington from Sandholes Co. Tyrone. This lady is deceased. Her son, also deceased, was my brother-in-law.
