Hi All
I am wondering whether someone would be able to look up the Army List between 1914 and 1918 for
2nd Lt C F Jackson, I know from his MIC that he first served with the Royal Fusiliers, but then transferred to the Royal Sussex Regiment also gaining promotion to Lt plus that he was entitled to the SWB, I am after finding out which battalion of the Sussex he was with and any other information on him,
Thanks in advance

Roy,
There is an entry in WO 338 for a Charles Frederick Jackson, 16th Battalion Royal Fusiliers and 14th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment. Both were Reserve Battalions.
I can't access the details on his MIC, but does this look like your man?
His service record is held at Kew in WO 339/52385

Thanks for the information, sorry I have not answered sooner.
I would say that it is definitely the man I am after, I have found him on the 1901 and 1911 census, also I have found an entry in the London Gazette for him relinquishing his commission due to ill health, all I need now would be to find someone going to Kew to do a look up for me as I cannot get away from work.
This is all tied into the fact I recently added his medals to my collection of Royal Sussex WW1 medals, he was awarded the standard pair of British War & Victory Medals, the Mic i have found also and his entitlement to the SWB No 290653 (unfortunately not included).
Again many thanks for the help
Roy
