hi l looking for any info on my uncle bert ,who served with the south lancs reg in ,burma .was then in
tropical hosp in liverpool . was born in 1918 and lived in warrington . married ellen (nellie ) bolger in 1940? I THINK HIS FATHER  of the same name bertram potter served in ww1  married to mary hill .

hi as there isn,t much info regarding ww2 personnel records online it would pay you to look at this site www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/service_records.html from there it is possible to download the forms to apply for a service record , now as you aren,t the direct next of kin i believe you can still get most of the record but not personal info that would be on it have a look anyway there is a cost involved of £30 and a death cert is needed as well .
