Dear All,
My Great-Grandfather was in Netley Military Hospital, at the time of the 1911 census. He had been sent home from Naini Tal in India (as per his Army records).
Do you know if any Hospital records exist? I would like to find out more about his time spent at Netley. (Medical records, admission/discharge registers, etc).
Kind regards,
Glen.

Unfortunately there are no surviving patient records or admission and discharge registers.

Dear Trevor and Sue,
Thank you both for your replies. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond! I'm doing some more on the family research now, so I'm working through responses.
Thanks again,
Glen

There are no OFFICIAL Admission Registers or Records remaining for Netley Hospital, aka the Royal Victoria Military Hospital at Netley but we hold a database of about 11800 individuals whom we have identified as being at Netley Hospitals at some point during its lifetime (1862 - 1978).
This database contains bio details of staff, patients, discharged service personnel, family members, contractors and repatriated prisoners-of-war. It is not accessible online but if you access www.netleyabbeymatters.co.uk and complete the Contact Me form with what info you do have, I will check the database and get back to you.
